Where are you from and what brought you to OSU? I am from Edmond, Oklahoma and Dr. Broffitt is the reason why I came to OSU!

When and why did you start playing the flute? I started playing the flute in 6th grade. I wanted to play violin, but I wanted to be in the marching band when I was older so I played flute instead.

What are some of your hobbies and interests? I love volleyball, online shopping, coffee and watching netflix.

Who are your favorite composers? What are some of your favorite recordings? My favorite composers are J.S. Bach and Claude Debussy. My favorite are by Göran Marcusson, Marina Piccinini, and Jim Walker.

Who are your music mentors and what have you learned from them? My musical mentors are Dr. Virginia Broffitt Kunzer, Dr. John Clinton, David Koehn, and Andy Heitz. All of my musical mentors have taught me that it's all about the passion and love for the music and not just the notes on the page.

Where are your favorite places to eat? My favorite places to eat are the sushi bar, panera, and chick-fil-a.

What is the most valuable lesson that music has taught you? Perfect practice makes perfect and hard work pays off.

What stands out as your favorite musical memory? My favorite musical memory is playing a concerto on my final concert with the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra.

What are your favorite things about the Flute Studio and the School of Visual + Performing Arts? The OSU flute studio and the department of music are always there for you and make sure you stay on top of things and support you along the way.

What is your guilty pleasure? Sushi or snow cones!
